Operator Certification
All PWS operators are required to become state certified to the operator level established by the Navajo PWSSP, as indicated in the NNPDWR. The PWSSP will recognize state certificates until the Navajo Nation has fully developed and implemented its own operator certification program.
Certifications are valid for the same period as with the certifying state.
Operators are required to submit a copy of their certification along with an application form and fee to register with the PWSSP.
Operator certifications received from New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah are acceptable with submittal of the Reciprocity Application for water or wastewater certification.
